Will not fit 2007 Silverado handlebars

I really thought it was a standard size. I was wrong. I need them to replace a steering knuckle on a 2007 Silverado 2500hd and they just wouldn't go through the holes in the wheel itself. Luckily I had a grinder on hand and I molded them. I would give them a higher rating if they fit without modifications.
