I use different types of heating pads for muscle pain. This product is especially good for back pain, as it is thin, and, for me, it is comfortable enough (and safe!) to leave under my back to help relive pain and get me to sleep. I am glad I found it on ebay, as my previous retailer no longer sells it. Recommendations: Only needs about 90 seconds max to heat in most microwaves, and use some sort of light cloth barrier (such as an old T-shirt) between the pad and your skin to help prevent burning yourself in case you overheat it).
