Review on Computer case AeroCool Cylon black by Micha Jwiak ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good balance of price/quality, recommend it.

I decided to change the mATX case for something bigger (the 3-slot vidyaha didn't fit, there was overheating, etc.). I was looking only for a miditower and with a lower PSU location. Hooked this body and from Zalman. The backlight won. And it was only at home that I realized that the optical drive, cooler speed control, hot-swap by 3.5" and so on into the 5.25" bay are in the past. You can put it, but: 1) fasteners on one side only. 2) have to live without a backlit front panel. Disks. There are 2 places for 2.5 "drives (SSD in the common people and in the instructions). One is under the bottom of the motherboard from the side of the right panel (which is usually never opened and was sometimes "welded" in some cases), the other is right behind the video card. So. Not the longest video card of 28 cm almost rested on the SSD that is installed there (1-2 mm before it). Now about 3.5 "disks - there are 2 places for them (!) all the same on the right side from the bottom of the PSU on comfortable plastic sleds. On the right side! Usually it is pressed against the wall, and now the right side should be accessible if I want to remove it and put the screw! I am outraged, because the mATX case fit 3-4 2.5" disks and at the same time 4 more 3.5" + optical drive! In this case, the entire installation is only with one removed left wall. In total, I stupidly put another 3.5 disk on top of the "shelf" above the PSU. There is nowhere to mount it.

Pros
  • 1. Backlight. There are a lot of modes, more than a New Year's garland. Pleases a 4-year-old child. It can be turned off with the same button by long pressing. In expensive cases, the fan lighting (for example) cannot be turned off so quickly. 2. Compact. With the lower location of the PSU, the block with 45 cm wires "reached out" to all devices and connectors. The body is narrow and short. 3. Not very expensive. 4. The metal is dyed everywhere, everything is smooth, does not stagger. Even the fasteners in the kit (screws, ties, etc.) are black.
Cons
  • 1. Goodbye 5.25" devices. More on that below. 2. The metal is painted over everywhere. Tighten the screws - crumble the paint. 3. High legs. A 3.5 disc will fit under the bottom. Why? 4. "Filters"-grids will protect against large debris, but not from dust. They wrote about the air intake - the front panel closes everything - well, why is it possible to put fans there? 5. Inconvenient arrangement of disks, more on that below.
