The door to my master bedroom doesn't like being left open and is quite high off the floor (probably 2 1/2 inches). Tried different door handles. Most of them are not high enough. Those large enough tended to be large enough to be knocked over or otherwise bothered. This door knob completely solved the problem. It's nice and heavy and stays in place once you lower it, and it didn't cause any problems with my hardwood floors or doors. Works great, perfect size and smooth enough not to get in the way. One SMALL complaint is that it looks very modern which is out of place in older homes (like mine). But I can live with this problem.
