Didn't like the lens. Maybe he gives a good picture when he hits the target (and this does not always happen even on the top-end Nikon D750), but working with him is simply unpleasant. Firstly, when focusing, the lens makes a very nasty and loud noise, constantly idling the focus back and forth, while slowing down in extreme positions with some kind of bumps and pops. Focus is slow and often misses - somewhere in 1 case out of 10 (whale 24-120 F4 probably misses 1 out of 200). Thus, as a light street / reportage lens for every day, it is completely unsuitable - there is no certainty in the result. Now for the price - for some reason many people consider it very cheap. Like "well, what do you want for that kind of money?". Yes, I want the best "for the money." As if it costs 50 bucks, not 130. It's only cheap compared to other nikkors. And Canon's fifty dollars 1.8II - a direct competitor (the same plastic, antediluvian and miserable) was cheaper, and the STM version, which costs the same now, is quiet, fast and more modern (and Canon also has a 40mm f.2.8 - it's a little more expensive , but better by an order of magnitude: small, sharp, quiet and never smeared). The rotating focus ring is also separately annoying - it interferes very much and constantly falls under the arm. Well, in addition, it is corny ugly - it does not look at all on a large camera. It would be better if it was larger in diameter, but shorter. I understand that prof. a reflex camera is not an iPhone, it is not for showing off, but the aesthetic still plays some role.
