Review on πŸ”§ High-Performance ERP W10510667 Dishwasher Motor Pump for Great Efficiency by Philip Wagner

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Non-OEM = wrong choice for me.

Bought the pump after my dishwasher stopped flushing/flushing. I've seen an OEM part for $125 and this one for about half that price. According to the reviews everything was fine so I bought it thinking I would save some money. Delivered quickly and arrived the next day. After I installed it, the dishwasher started circulating (yay), but I kept an eye on the dishwasher for leaks or other issues before reinstalling the top panel. and damn I'm glad I did! After about 30 minutes of washing, I noticed it was dripping under the washing machine. Start slow (1 drop every 30 seconds to a minute) and then increase to 1 drop about every second! I pulled out the dishwasher and unplugged everything (again!) and checked the pump. In fact, water from the impeller housing leaked onto it. I immediately called Revain and asked for a refund. Then I bought a more expensive OEM pump. Installed a new OEM pump and voila! No leaks. Moral of the story: you can try your luck with a traditional pump, but you may not get the savings you expect! If you bought one of these pumps and they worked great, then I'm very happy for you! I recommend keeping an eye on your dishwasher to make sure it doesn't break and cause water problems. Or better yet, just play it safe and get an OEM part. I wish I had done that from the start. But then again, I've had enough practice to pull out the dishwasher 3 times, and now I could probably do it blindfolded!
