For DIY in you.

Ever since I left the dealership with my brand new 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid I have made a habit of taking it to the dealership every six months for a 150 point check, oil, and filter change , tire changes, etc. I've also asked for an AC filter change every year. However, the smells in the car gradually increased and even with Febreeze Professional, I couldn't get rid of the smells. Well, after extensive internet searches, I found that my model has two extra air filters that need to be cleaned regularly. replaced . One is in the A/C intake duct just behind the windshield (which was NOT there) and the other is for the hybrid battery in the rear inner fairing. Luckily this time I managed to find the filter in the closet, but what I saw worried me! I will not repeat myself here. lol I replaced the battery filter and installed the missing A/C filter ASAP! Now I can say with confidence that my car smells much better. I'm saying all this so you can do it yourself too, and you'll never have to endure the pain of your car smelling and wondering if you've ever had to light it up!
