Gasket does not resist water pressure drop

One of these was used to connect the plumbing to my fridge. The water pressure changes that occur when the refrigerator starts/stops the water supply eventually caused the seal in this port to fail. Failed after 2 weeks and caused my fridge to overflow. I do not recommend.
