Same as design. Does not take up much space in the water tank. It was the devil to take it apart to attach the filter. I tried, my husband tried. I used soap. Used hot hot water to try to expand it. I ended up tearing it apart by inserting the tip between the two pieces, hoping I wouldn't break the whole thing. Let's hope that the separation will be easier in the future if the filter is not so dense. In my opinion there is no point in making such a tight fit. I bet most people break it trying to take it apart
