Pretty easy to set up.

I'm a bit of a security freak. I have a full house alarm but I don't turn it on at night because I always turn it on when I'm home. When I leave the house, it adapts. I have a second system which are ground floor motion detectors that I install at night. All bedrooms are on the second floor and if someone manages to bypass my security cameras and alerts I want the motion sensors to let me know. I had a previous motion sensor system for years and it was starting to go haywire. The sensor near the back door stopped working and about once a month the siren worked for no reason. It went to the dump. This brand seemed like what I was looking for, but it turned out not to be exactly what they advertise. The ad said it worked with Alexa. This is largely wrong. I wanted to be able to tell Alexa to turn off the motion sensors when I go downstairs. So far I can't find a way to do this. The Alexa app recognized the devices but cannot control them. The instructions that come with the hub and sensors are not very detailed. You must either go into the app and disable each sensor, or manually flip the switch on the siren to the off position. I wanted something much more automated. I like that the motion sensors are quite small and not noticeable. The hub is also small and easy to get out of the way. I hid it with all TV components as I have a backup battery in the system and I have an available ethernet port in the same location. The only thing I can get Alexa to do is turn off the siren when it sounds. but I have to scream at the top of my lungs before she hears me through the siren. So far this isn't the best product if you're looking for a basic one. I think it might come back and I'll have to spend more money to get something that actually works with Alexa.
