Serves its purpose, doesn't look quite like the original

I was planning to use this for contrast on a bookshelf. The bookcase had medium walnut legs so I found it and felt it matched well. The actual product is fine; It doesn't look very realistic - I'm not sure if it's a semi-gloss paper finish, a wood texture, or both. But it's good for use in a bookshelf where you can't see too much detail. If I were trying to put this on the outside, I wouldn't recommend building a bookshelf, especially if there's a real tree nearby for the eye to naturally compare. Also, the glue is fine. The grips are good once fixed, but not too hard if you can't change positions. I'm not crazy about the looks but it does the job.
