I have been using Renata batteries to keep my collection of quartz watches running for many years. Some watches last about a year, others 18 months, but that's normal given they're so cheap for their quality. I've never had a single leak or explosion! All my Swiss made watches come with factory Renata batteries (and many others use Renata). If the manufacturer trusts you, then so do I. You can't beat the price. My local jeweler charges $7 each and another $8 for installation (which includes body cleaning and seal lubrication). Now I can replace all of my batteries myself for less than $0.50 each!
