I had to replace my Cygolite hotrods at 16 months. I used them as daytime running lights about once a week and always recharged them after a ride. I bought these to improve my visibility on the road and was attracted by their small size and the ease with which I could attach them to my bike. After a year I noticed that the battery barely lasted 2 hours in DayLightening mode. Then last month the tail light started going out in the middle of my rides. For my own safety, I had no choice but to replace them. I am disappointed with how quickly these bulbs failed and will not be buying any more Cygolite products in the future.
