Very happy with these gloves. A gel pad will do, it doesn't feel bulky but it feels soft. Gloves are easy to put on and take off. The pull loops are a nice addition, just need to remember to use them, my other gloves didn't have pull loops. The velcro is great, once you attach them they don't come loose, they stay. They have some elastic at the wrist. Black color did not appear on hands after wearing. The skin smells good. There is only one row of stitches at the end of each finger hole, so they may or may not start to fray after wearing them for a long time. I'm a woman with not very large hands, but I ordered the Men's L to make sure I had plenty of room. I found the tight glove to be a real distraction, I like it when my hands and fingers don't feel tight while operating. I would recommend them.
