Is there potential?

Example [top to bottom] A- Gouache Mixture on this Bee Paper B- Watercolor Mixture on Bee Paper, C- Watercolor Mixture D- Gouache Mixture on Fabriano Artistico 100% Cotton Watercolor Paper [sorry no sheets currently] Well I have this one Bought paper with the intention of using it for my studies and if it was good enough then the final works. I haven't seen very many reviews about it online and I've never heard of this company, but for the price I was going to give it a try. higher quality than Fabriano and Arches Cold Paper so I was thrilled. In testing I started with Winser & Newton and M. Graham gouache. Colors appear vivid, minimal to normal deformation, still durable even after a lot of water, everything looks good. Now the problem starts as I recall another reviewer here mentioning that paper dries out too quickly as I didn't think this would be a problem considering I had previously found ways to run different types of paper bring to. However, it does affect how well you can blend the paper in this case, which is very important for watercolors as mentioned earlier. For my second test, I tried my M. Graham watercolors. Doesn't blend very well, if at all, and doesn't absorb much ether meaning I wasn't able to soften or remove edges after applying the first color. If you are a beginner looking for a quality learner, Try it. but this is your call It's a different experience than the Canson XL, even if they're really cheap. Might be, for the same price you should try an Arches pad or buy a Fabriano block on sale. 2 1/2 as I feel very 50/50. Frustrated that I can't use it for more professional watercolor work without trying to improvise.
