Review on Murphy Makers Cobbler Leatherworking 4TAPT by Dawn Fischer

I always expect to have to clean a cheaper knife blade but this is one of the worst I've seen. Inconsistent depth of cut resulting in the cutting edge being dull, ragged and not straight. In addition, the tip was usually polished. It took about 45 minutes with 1000# water stones to straighten it, but after 6000# and straightening it had a decent edge. Not sure about the quality of the steel but will work it up after some use. The knife feels solid and the overall form factor isn't bad, but expect some effort when using it. Disappointed with buying out of the box, if I needed to rebuild I would look elsewhere. Checking the list again, this knife has no maker's mark and is likely a fake. Just look elsewhere for a straight knife
