I've been using a DeLorme GPS for 6 years, both PN-40 and PN-60w with SPOT and while I prefer their functionality and software over Garmin I'm tired of waiting for DeLorme to improve the form factor to something more useful for my needs. I bought a Garmin Montana 600T from a large hunting and outdoor store on a trip from Washington DC to Southern California. Since I primarily use these units for dual-sport and adventure riding, I needed a mount to complement a Garmin unit that could withstand the rigors of a few thousand miles of off-road, single and dual track, and mud and gravel forests. , fire brigade and country roads. This device meets all requirements. I use this mount along with the Ram Mount Ball, Short Arm and Ball with Diamond Mounting Plate. It is very durable and with a short lever handlebar vibration is imperceptible on all bikes. I had doubts that the mount would hold the GPS securely in all conditions, but no issues so far. I didn't even use the security screw. I recommend this mount for reliable use of Garmin Montana GPS navigators.
