I love these hourglasses!

This is a cool little hourglass! I have it for homeschooling, time management and the Pomodoro Technique (see Jim Kwik). I also bought a separate set of hourglasses. I got separately 30s, 1min, 2min, 3min, 5min and 10min. I checked them for accuracy and got: 30sec - 32sec / 32sec 1min - 58sec / 1:04min 2min - 1:57min / 2:04min 3min - 2:52 min / 2:55 min 5 min - 4:56 min / 4:50 min 10 min - 11:36 min / 9:08 min The second number as I flipped it back. Obviously they are different in each direction. 20 minute timer: I tested this and got 22 minutes, 20:42 seconds and 20:39 seconds. The sand sticks a bit on the sides (probably static) and takes a few seconds to pat after tapping. I don't mind. For what I use it for, its accuracy is perfect. I don't need the exact time, it's just great nearby! I like that this timer is made of glass with a plastic base (a wooden base would be cooler but I'm happy with that). I love this purple color! They are just under 4 inches long. I think it's great that children can see how time flies. What does 2 minutes look and feel like, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, etc. I want to use my 20 minute hourglass for my daughter's schoolwork, then play 5 minutes or do something she enjoys and such next and back to The task is complete. I used a regular kitchen timer for this and it works great! But I love the hourglass more! I will use the same technique in my work as well. I like that they don't make any noise, don't need batteries and you can watch them. I saw in another review that they are used to swap toys between siblings. I like this idea, I'll try it. Our daughter is 7 years old and our son is 3 years old in 2 months. I've flipped this timer about 10 times and it never gets stuck (which I've mentioned in some reviews). The sand flows smoothly. Same goes for other timers I have. They all flow smoothly and don't stick. Also, I love to read and I read for about 20 minutes every day so I like a 20 minute hourglass for that. Although I can use 10 or even 5 min. Timer when I'm short on time or want more than 20 minutes. Also for things like meditation where the timer is very loud and annoying. Another thing is time on the phone and time on You Tube for us adults. Also, the series is watching for my daughter. I know, of course, that I need to be mindful and keep an eye on her TV timer (until she eventually becomes more responsible and accustomed to it), but I'm fine with that. (TV isn't a big problem in our house since we're very outdoor oriented anyway.) I also see myself using them for any kind of time management for myself, my kids or my family. I love it! In time I will buy a 30 minute timer and an hourglass!
