Used for engine bearings, shaft bearings, sprockets and gears. I had one that literally used it so much it wore out after years of commercial mechanic work, I still have the old one and it still works, it just got difficult to get a good bite on items with smaller lips. This new one is a nice item to add to my box. 5 stars all day, if you need one, get one. When you don't need it and only need it for occasional work. get two. For your health
