Great option for a quick bite

So let's be honest; A dish prepared in the microwave should NEVER be confused with a dish prepared over an open fire. But during the hot summer months and for a quick snack this is a great product. Some rules: 1. Be careful when using the microwave at full power (1100+W). I have found that power level 8 for 3 minutes to preheat and cook on level 7 for 90 seconds is optimal for my 1000W microwave.2. Although the metal plates are rubber coated, they will be HOT after preheating. Think of this thing as a hot burner and handle it with oven mitts or saucepans. Otherwise there will be burn blisters.3. Do not overcook food. It's better to check the food on the go and allow more time than overcooking and spoiling the food.4. Do not mix meat and vegetables. Yes, the pictures are beautiful, but cooking several things at once is inconvenient. This plate is smaller than shown in the photos. Even if you're cooking for one person, you'll need at least two cycles if you haven't already cooked tiny portions of meat and microscopic vegetables. And spray meat and veggies with cooking spray to brown them. Again, preheating to a really high grilling temperature is key. Enjoy!
