Review on πŸ”₯ Worx MAKERX WX743L.9 20V Mini Heat Gun (Tool Only): Quick and Portable Heat Solution for DIY Projects by Johnny Spencer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice concept though. in the field of welding and soldering

I bought most of the tools in the Worx Maker X family The concept of interchangeable tools on a controller and battery really intrigued me, mainly for use on Go Board of an old sailing boat, on which projects are constantly underway. My usage is probably a bit more than the Worx intended for the Maker X system, but since I already had a few Worx tools and batteries I decided to give these tools a try. So far I would rate the devices a two to five for usefulness and functionality. The heat gun falls right in the middle. This is useful, but in a fairly limited way. On battery power, it struggles to provide a high level of heat dissipation. It will shrink the heat sensitive bands, but slowly. This allows you to shape the plastic, but the PVC pipe is just too big a bridge. Removing the paint is possible, but your progress will be very slow, although it works well in small, hard-to-reach places. Battery life isn't bad, although the heat gun does drain the battery fairly quickly, as you'd expect. Overall I'm happy with the purchase, but as far as the hair dryer goes, my enthusiasm is a bit muted. I had to contact customer service to replace a faulty controller and my experience was positive.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • I won't say anything
