I bought this set for my 2 year old. He loves animals so I thought it would be a good idea to introduce him to some sea creatures. The pieces are not large and are perfect for little fingers like toddlers. I do not recommend these animals for babies because of the size. None of the animals have a small hole to prevent water from accumulating. That was very important to me because my son likes to play with toys in the water. The set includes LOTS of sea creatures such as: squid, dolphin, whale, shark, sea snail, sea slug, penguin, sea lion, seal, walrus, crab, starfish, octopus, seahorse etc. I would recommend this to any parent looking to introduce their child to sea life. My two year old knows the difference between a sea lion, a walrus and a seal! I love this purchase.
