There doesn't seem to be a card shuffler that gets consistently rave reviews. It seems the nature of these things is that cards will stick or break on cheap plastic components. But this inexpensive little hand-operated model keeps getting named among the more reliable performers, so I gave it a try. What can I say? It handles two decks perfectly and shuffles them well until it sticks. It's very easy to use, and as others have pointed out, it's much quieter, easier, and requires less maintenance than battery-powered models. At my house we play a lot of poker and also card games like Ticket To Ride. that have huge decks that need to be shuffled multiple times during the game. The cards wear out fairly quickly if the amateur shuffles them by hand over and over again. This device not only speeds up the gaming process, but also significantly extends the life of the cards. No kinks, no pressing of cards into each other. I wish I had bought this a long time ago.
