DON'T SAVE ON TOOLS!

Let's face it, you spent over $300 on an RC. Whether it's a truck, car, quad, plane or boat, you're either doing basic maintenance or upgrading. When you start loving this hobby the last thing you want is to pull something and the screwdriver will break and you won't have a way to put it back together and play. I invested a lot in my first job and learned my lesson very quickly. DON'T SAVE ON TOOLS. After learning that the local hobby shop had done a terrible job installing a large shock absorber for me, I figured if I was going to ride this beast and break something, I'd better put 100% into the hobby to do all about repairs to learn. Maintenance, etc. After my retraining in "If you want to do something right, do it yourself", I ordered these tools to start my training. I should have followed my instincts and ordered some nice stuff, but no, I had to save a few bucks and order this. Just don't do it, it's not worth the headache. First, they don't have a flat area on the shank to tighten them enough so they don't rotate in the grip. titanium nitride? Pretty sure after tightening the small metric screw on the CVD the 1.5mm tip broke off. IN THE HEADPUT JACK! Luckily I was able to get it out. Sure, Revain got them for me quickly the next day, but why bother? I returned my set to Amazon and accepted a replacement. But in the meantime I did some research and found that the MIP tools were the best choice. Of course they are expensive, but that's also a hobby. Don't you think you would break something? Think that shiny aluminum doesn't suit your hobby car? Do you think that normal maintenance should not take place? You are wrong if you think so. Get the tools to help you avoid getting frustrated and leave the junk alone. Oh, and if you think replacing everything on your RC car with shiny aluminum is the way to go, then you need to read and learn. Something yes, something no.
