coils worked as expected. Thanks to previous reviews that helped me troubleshoot. To help others move forward. The flame ignited once and then went out as the dryer heated up to a temperature (190 degrees). When it's time to turn the igniter back on, there will be a noticeable rattle, no gas will be supplied, and then the igniter will turn off. Would allow this multiple times without turning on the gas to hit the red hot igniter. The chatter led me to believe it was coils. I checked it for connectivity and expected it couldn't be found. To my surprise, both had the readings you would expect for connected coils (see YouTube). This really pissed me off as I was pretty sure the coils were the problem. I thought for $8 it would be worth trying to replace the 25 year old coils. Luckily new coils fixed my broken gas dryer. I'm not an electrician here. I think my 2 cents is that if the coils or other parts show a connection it doesn't conclude that those parts aren't the problem. Unfortunately, the wife still has to wait for the new $800 dryer :-)
