I am returning this item as it is not 'natural' wood as the description would suggest. It's actually wood, but it's actually layers of wood glued together and so the exposed edge of the skin is where the laminate layers are visible. I can only imagine that in the future it will disappear after several washes. I also wonder if any glue can contaminate the first batches of pizza. In addition, it is made in China and does not know the rules of local laminating glue. It might be ok for the casual pizza maker, but we'll be using it weekly and don't think it's the best scrub for us. By the way, the photo is still in plastic, the article is not shiny.
