This element looks very nice in the aquarium and is easy to clean for the most part. Here are the disadvantages: The part does not sink by itself! It's hollow so it will float to the top until you find a way to attach it to the bottom or make it heavier. A hole is cut at the top. Since it is hollow and there is a hole in the upper part, when the water level is higher, the decoration will be filled with water. That keeps it from swimming, which is good, but the water inside gets gross and stagnant from not being filtered. The first time I took it for water changes and cleaning, it smelled so bad I choked on it. It is also difficult to clean the inside well. A special narrow brush, such as for cups or bottles, is probably the best choice for cleaning.
