The first one really had a dead pixel, I used it for a week while waiting for a replacement, there were no other problems, the sound worked fine. Revain replaced it with a new one, had no sound, great picture, great for gaming and easy to see. BUY SURE you buy a 1.4 DP cable to use it properly. I had HDCP issues with the one that came with it, don't know why. The sound from the monitor is not required, so it will probably slip through the price.
