I used to have a Garmin nüvi 40LM. Had to replace it when the USB port died. I was very happy with the Nuvi 40 and as needed; Decided to try this Garmin GPS model. Honestly it's rubbish. Drive 51 very often doesn't tell you exactly when to turn, especially in rural areas. The device often only recognizes turns when you are at or through an intersection. Even though I had the device set to avoid the dirt road, it kept sending me onto the dirt road, especially in Vermont. The device often has you literally going in circles; before you get back on track. The touchscreen is too sensitive and you have to constantly return to the screen you want. In the car, you can't just use any old USB charger if you need to charge other devices while driving. You will need to purchase another Garmin charger. By the way, if the cigarette lighter is located directly behind the shift lever, you can only connect another Garmin box when the gear is engaged. You would think they designed it to bend 45 or 90 degrees. Entire cities appearing on printed maps are missing or incorrectly identified using this device. It is best to always have a printed map with you. It is very difficult to change route with this device. There are other things that really annoy you about this device. If you are traveling outside of very developed areas, look elsewhere for GPS. As far as I know, this device poses much more danger than benefit. I HATE THIS BLOCK
