Review on AmperSand Pastelbord Pastels Charcoal Pencils Painting, Drawing & Art Supplies by Diane Ferreira

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I've found that if I paint with a pastel I don't like, I can wash the board off with warm water.

When I first started working with soft pastels I tried paper first but couldn't get the results I wanted. I've even tried sandpaper but was frustrated because it's difficult to store and needs to be assembled for framing. With ampersand pastels I can put them on the studio shelves and frame them when they're done. I've discovered another benefit: if I'm painting with a pastel color I don't like, I can wash the panel with warm water and a soft sponge so I don't ruin the sanded surface. You may have some paint left, but it will make your next pastel even more interesting.
