It's expensive. there is no way around. However, I use it to wash almost everything in my car (even the cloth seats, although they're dark, so I don't know how it would work with light colors). Cleans super well without a lot of dirt and fuss, doesn't leave an ugly film. I also use it to clean my bikes (both road bikes and mountain bikes). It's great if you apply a few coats (I wipe down the bikes about once a week) to avoid light dirt/dust. Be sure to cover or otherwise avoid skid marks (on road bikes) or discs (on mountain bikes or road bikes with disc brakes) as this will ruin your brake pads if they step on them. Oddly enough, I don't use it outside. my car (apart from the windows) as I find it just too expensive for everyday use and my cars get dirty too quickly to use this type of car wash safely. If I were making car parts for a show I wouldn't hesitate to use it to add shine, it's a great product.
