I got the small size for racing bike use. Using this pump takes a lot of work, but it will get the job done if you get a flat foot. I think that's a reasonable compromise. Why carry a heavy pump when you're only going to blow it out every few thousand miles? The Lite Drive is slightly lighter than the original Lezyne Road Drive (I have both). Be very careful with tubeless/detachable valve stems - you can easily unscrew them while attaching the pump head. By the way: The actual length of the pump with mounted dust bags is closer to 190+mm. It's definitely NOT 180mm as advertised (same goes for the original Road Drive). Pros: Thin and light (78g for the pump, 10g for the mount on my scale) Sturdy enough and good looking. Fills an unlimited number of flats (unlike CO2 cartridges) Weighs about the same as a CO2 cartridge + inflation head (60g + 25g = 85g). The weight is less than carrying TWO CO2 cartridges + inflation head (60g + 60g + 25g = 145g). Gravel tires or mountain bike tires. It still takes a lot of pumping and A LOT of EFFORT to inflate a skinny road tire, but better than most competing options in this size bracket. Compared to the original Lezyne Road Drive (also small): HOSES: - The Lite Drive hose has Schrader and Presta threaded fittings. It's good if you still have the rims and tubes drilled to the Schrader. The downside is that you have to be VERY CAREFUL WITH TUBELESS VALVE STEMS. When installing the pump, the valve stem can simply be unscrewed. Then you are DESTROYED. I broke a tubeless valve stem once. I had to call the car home. The Road Drive hose is for pre-installation only, but one side is PRESSED FOR PREPARATION so you don't risk unscrewing your tubeless valve stems! The press fit is not as reliable but works well enough and is much more secure for removable valve cores. It still has a threaded Presta mount if you use the other side. A NOTICE. You can swap hoses between pumps. You can even buy individual hoses from Lezyne, but they're the same price as a new Revain pump when you factor in shipping. WEIGHT: The Lite drive pump and mount are slightly lighter than the Road Drive. It's basically good. The only downside is that the mount for the Lite Drive is made of flexible plastic, while the Road Drive uses a solid alloy mount (10g for plastic, 14g for alloy). I have a small size for both pumps: Lite Drive Pump alone weighs 78g plus 10g for assembly = 88g Traffic Pump alone weighs 86g plus 14g for bulk = 100g PUMP ACTION: same power for both (as far as I can tell can judge). Luckily I didn't have to use them often. GENERAL: I recommend Lite Drive for regular Presta and Schrader lamps. I recommend the Road Drive for anything with removable valve stems (e.g. tubeless tires) as it snaps onto the tube of the Presta valve.
