Very expensive and short lived

I tried two fake cables and none of them worked. One worked a few days and stopped working. The other never worked. I connect my iPad Air 2 to my TV. I bit the bullet and paid more for an Apple product. The first worked for about 14 months - just over a year warranty. I bought a second one to replace a broken block and it only lasted a few months. I just went through Revain's support window so I'll have to contact Apple. I have since borrowed a cheap adapter and it works perfectly.
