I tried two fake cables and none of them worked. One worked a few days and stopped working. The other never worked. I connect my iPad Air 2 to my TV. I bit the bullet and paid more for an Apple product. The first worked for about 14 months - just over a year warranty. I bought a second one to replace a broken block and it only lasted a few months. I just went through Revain's support window so I'll have to contact Apple. I have since borrowed a cheap adapter and it works perfectly.

This device saves me hundreds of dollars a month with Comcast Xfinity. Adapter worked fine 3 times and then died. Traces of carbon on the connector pins indicate arcing due to a poor fit between my phone and the adapter. Since I have a new iPhone 8 and there is no moisture on my side, this suggests a manufacturing defect. I used the product exactly as intended. It's a shame to spend money on it.

Works great for a few months, then stops working. I bought a second one because I thought that because of what I did, the first one stopped working. Didn't last as long as the first one, even with extra care to be very gentle on it. It's great when it works, but if I have to buy a new one in 2-3 months Apple will have to lower the price. You would understand that with all the negative feedback about this particular issue, Apple would come up with a solution. Or at least not charging $40 a piece

It comes in Apple packaging and is Apple branded and looks like a genuine Apple product but is junk. on one of the 4 iPhones in the house. I've even tried all four of my cases and the connection is still poor. The Lightning Man seems to be too short. I tried it on 3 different iPhone 6S and iPhone 7 and they all had the same problem.

I initially went for a cheaper fake and may as well light the money I paid for it. Then I got this device (Apple OEM brand) which worked great. TIP: Use it to connect your iPhone or iPad to your hotel TV. Get a ten-foot HDMI cable that connects the adapter device to your hotel's HDMI input, and the Lightning connector on it then connects to your iPhone or iPad. Works great and lets you watch anything from your iPhone on any HDMI TV!
