Review on Dorman 934-102 Center Support Bearing for Chevrolet, Pontiac, and Saturn Models by Tyler Blake

Dorman = No Warranty = Junk, lasted 12,000 miles

I installed this on my 2003 Saturn Vue a little over a year ago. When I put it on the car I found the rubber bushing to be very flimsy and it didn't look as well made as the ones I removed from the car. Well, he's done less than 12,000 miles. The bearing is fine, but the wafer-thin rubber bushing has cracked and is falling apart. It is not safe to drive a car without rubber mounts due to the terrible vibrations. I thought maybe the driveshaft was out of balance or something else was causing this premature failure, but my mechanic said it was a simple and cheap carrier bearing. 2 cardan shafts were ok. I called Dorman to inquire about a replacement as it has a "lifetime warranty". Well, Dorman does not offer a consumer guarantee. You must contact Revain or the parts supplier you purchased it from for a warranty. Revain / parts suppliers say you need to contact the manufacturer for a replacement. The ? I think I need some petroleum jelly because I've lost almost a hundred dollars and no company will back down on this guarantee issue. I would not recommend Dorman products after experiencing this nightmare. A company this big has to prove its reputation before trying to save a few bucks on consumers like me. 1 star is more than they deserve but 0 stars is not available.
