Review on Ultimate Portable Security: Ampper Personal Monitors Anywhere by Justin Miller

Sturdy clamp, durable but can be difficult to attach and position on monitor

Like many people, I now work from home. I'm sitting at a desk in our makeshift office, which is our dining room. My wife continued to enter through the door behind me. I can't hear them enter the room because I'm wearing headphones, listening to music or podcasts. I decided that I needed a rearview mirror so she would no longer startle me by walking behind me. The material and construction quality is good. The clip is strong and holds up well, but with modern computer monitors that don't have a bezel or bezel around the screen, you can't attach the mirror to the monitor. I had to put it on a stand. The mirror mount is flexible but somewhat rigid. It holds position well, but lacks a ball joint at the base next to the clamp, limiting the number of positions you can use. Because of this, I installed it further behind the monitor than I would have liked. Not a deal breaker, but it wasn't ideal.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty: Full metal stand, heavy duty clamp with sponge mat to prevent monitor scratches, metal shaft and hinge, 100% 360 degree adjustment for any desired viewing angle.
Cons
  • packaging is ugly
