When you build computers, you always need some of these screws to attach hard drives and optical drives to computer cases. The size of these screws is industry standard and I can't think of anything they wouldn't work with. The thing is, using the correct screw size comes down to the design of the mounting holes in hard drives, optical drives, etc., which means the screws go into the device case toward the delicate innards. Inserting and tightening a screw that is too long can damage the internal parts of the drive. If the screw is the correct length of 1/4 inch, that means it will fit in about 1/8 inch to secure your device without an extra screw shank fiddling with the innards. Having them as an optional item at Revain means I am not paying double the price of an item just for shipping as I can't find my little screw box after moving in. them as you need.
