Do not buy for Macbook Pro or PC.
The device does not appear in macOS Catalina 10.15.6. I went through Finder preferences to show Hard Drives, External Drives, CDs, and DVDs on my desktop and even looked in Disk Utilities in the Applications folder to find the device, but it still didn't show up. I also tried this on my old 2015 Macbook Pro and PC but still couldn't get it to work. Will return.
