This is a beautiful and durable device. So far this has worked flawlessly. The instructions are a little short, but anyone skilled enough can figure it out. I had a problem that so far doesn't seem to be a problem at all. I noticed that when switching on the load via the controller's menu, the yellow ALARM LED was constantly lit. This happened regardless of whether the load was actually connected or not. I called AIMS tech and must say I must have spoken to someone new. Apparently he wasn't sure why this was happening and asked me to send the device in for testing. This was inconvenient as I had only installed it a few days ago. Not wanting to risk the fire, I followed his instructions. Shipping back and forth was very fast. Three Day Sales. They ended up sending me another brand new device. When I plugged it back in, same problem, the yellow ALARM came on when the load was on. The manual doesn't say what it is. However, everything works as expected, the load works, the batteries are charging etc. etc. There are no problems. It seems that the yellow light simply means that the download feature is enabled. I emailed AIMS explaining this to them but never received a reply. It was disappointing. However, the device seems to work and do what it was designed to do. It's only been about 2 months so I'll update if anything negative happens. If there are no updates, everything still works. I think I'll be buying another one for my other solar system at the moment.
