Good coverage but the webbing could be a lot better. They are elastic all over, which means they are a bit flexible. I wear my knee pads to work every day on my unicycle and not only are the velcro straps starting to separate from the rubber but also the velcro hooks are starting to straighten out or loosen. The straps are also fairly open, so a fall that ends with your foot hitting the ground can destroy them. Last night I had to sew the broken strap back together. The articulation works well, but you feel a bit like a robocop because the hinge stop tends to open to the max when you straighten your leg.
