The first thing that struck me was that one of the zips broke during the initial installation. Looks like it's a "quick coupler". Contact your local hardware supplier and purchase strong ties. Take the included pair so you can adjust the width. The length is simply shortened after installation; The longer the better for installation purposes. I don't think the mounting kit is strong enough unless I use zip ties. A whole pack of replacement cable ties is very cheap, so don't worry about cutting them apart to reattach them. The quick mount kit for my Garmin Forerunner 920XT raises the bezel too high for everyday use, so I use this mount kit. It takes some time to attach/detach the watch band to this bracket, especially when you are tired from exercise. If I ever get good enough to really care about the extra 30 seconds (max) during a triathlon transition, I'll probably install the Race-only Quick Release Kit. I had some confusion installing the mounting kit. A few tips: - Assemble the kit so that the "Garmin" advert is facing forward - Thread the zip ties from the back (non-Garmin side), from the bottom, then from the top and back down. After attaching the zip ties, twist/slide the buckle forward so it fits neatly into the front panel. Will i buy it again? Yes. It's pretty cheap and it works.
