When you first open this box it looks like you got what you paid for. The hitch is a fairly large block of machined aluminum with a nice transparent pressure gauge on it. great first impression! I installed mine with a 2" ball, torqued it to 250 ft/lbs by a mechanic next door, and got it running the same day. At first I thought it wouldn't work as the sensor wouldn't move under the weight of my trailer or me so I called customer service to see if my trailer was malfunctioning or if it was normal. Well they were very knowledgeable and reassured me the trailer probably wouldn't add a ton, the drawbar weight is only 800lbs and told me to call them again if it doesn't change on loading. And sure enough, as soon as I started loading the trailer, it started to climb. This hitch allows me to push right to the limit without going over it or worrying! For a lighter car like my Pilot (350, 500 with WD hitch) this is the confidence I need to drive me feeling confident and pushing the limits when towing. Highly recommended to anyone towing mega loads with a truck or just trying to make sure you don't exceed the weight of the lower tongue of your one piece tractor!
