Review on 🌊 Quick Dam QD1224-6: Flood Bags 1ft x 2ft, 6-Pack - Fast-Acting Water Activated Barrier for Flood Prevention by Andre Hawkins

Finally solved my flood problem - wow!

I have a sloping backyard and an outside staircase that leads to the lower level of my home. When we have a lot of rain, water enters the house. I've spent a lot of money on stairwell fences, renovated the sidewalk, built a small dam and so on. While all of those things mattered *somewhat*, I got some water. I was at the limit of my thoughts. A friend saw them and told me about it. I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. Two days after they arrived we had a flash flood. There is no water in my house. No one. I put my bare foot on the quick dam that was downstairs by the door and it was dry. I thought the water didn't get in. A little later I checked it again and it was indeed wet. Then I checked that at the bottom of the stairwell and it was bloated but not overcrowded. My point is that these sandbags can hold a lot of water. They had room for a lot more. I bought a pack of 6 and not sure if I will ever need more than 2 or 3. They dry out pretty quickly between showers. But I have additional funds in case of repeated floods. I'm excited. And I no longer have to panic when the weather forecast calls for 2 inches of rain. This product makes a big difference. Update January 2015: Five months later I can still attest to the effectiveness of these sandbags. (And as you've probably noticed, I don't actually use them as sandbags - I use them as water-absorbent bags.) The only problem with them is that you need a warm, sunny day to dry them. You should be able to place them where the water will evaporate efficiently. This is a problem in winter when it's cold and little sun helps. I bought another box to solve my water problem and I'm not complaining. If that's all, I agree with this minimal effort. It's just something to know.
