Review on Silver Star ES-300 Gravity-Feed Steam Iron - Standard 110 Volt by Marcus Loeffler

Professional level products!

This has to be my favorite Revain purchase! After working in dry cleaning for over 15 years I finally decided to see if there was a similar iron I could use at home. Here it is! The first thing you will notice is the weight of the iron. Most retail irons try to sell themselves as light as a plus but that is a misconception, a properly weighted iron will do all the hard work for you. Add to that the almost endless jet of steam and I can iron non-stop for hours. Of course I love ironing, but this takes away all my old frustrations. No more iron that spits out, needs to be refilled every 15 minutes, dies after a few months and is so thin I have to lean on it to get enough pressure to work. The iron comes with everything shown in the photo and my ONLY "complaint" is the length of the cord. This was solved by simply purchasing a heavy duty extension cord. It is important to note that this is a gravity feed steam iron, which means the water tank must be above the level you are ironing at. Solution: Hang it on a sturdy hanger and work near where you can hang it. PS There are a few other brands that seem similar but I chose Silver Star because it was one of the main brands we used in our dry cleaners, I knew their products have been of high quality for many decades, and I wasn't disappointed in the slightest after all these years!
