Review on DEWALT 20V MAX XR Reciprocating Saw (DCS367B) - Compact & Cordless Tool Only by Trey Crosland

I love it. in saws

I love all my DeWalt 20v/XR tools. I don't own a single wireless instrument that is NOT a DeWalt, with the exception of many that I have designed and built myself. Professionally, I've used my influence many times, in engineering, in commissioned work, in everything at home too. So I decided, hey, I'm going to buy a saber saw, an angle grinder, and a weird oscillating tool to add to my arsenal of cordless tools. I just love this saw. Yeah it sounds silly it's just a saw right? Well, I came out of the practice with a 25-year-old, got into a fight and sawed everything (brand doesn't matter, old one, I swear it's the same). With older saws you had to hold a locking tool on the power line to unscrew and change blades, but with this saw you have a tool-less change and it's not a hassle or time-consuming. Oh, and you can put the blade in any direction/face! This thing is as powerful as my linesaw, MUCH less bulky and just perfect! I got a set of six blades for different materials for an additional $10 (a lot!) because I know my DeWalt blades are great quality. Li-Ion), the power was not as great as my new 20/60 V Flexvolt. For those of you unfamiliar with power systems (I build them), this is due to battery design, not age/abuse. 60V batteries contain three groups of five-cell clusters operating in "20V mode" in parallel, which greatly reduces the voltage drop (due to the higher current) under heavy loads. I definitely recommend using Flexvolt packs for the full 20V platform. I have opted for 6Ah batteries and will refurbish them myself when they become obsolete, possibly with better capacity/quality than OEM. The cells are probably 18650 or 18635, I haven't opened the DeWalt box yet. Please note that restoring or repairing Li-Ion/Iron Manganese/Polymer cell clusters is NOT for hobbyists with a soldering iron! These battery types must be welded! BUT I refuse. Summary: This is a great saw that is not bulky yet retains the performance you need/expect from a saber saw. Use flexible 60V batteries (they have a switched output, 20V when used in 20V tools) for the longest run time and a noticeable positive difference in power output. A highly recommended platform and tool!
