Carried the same size wire cage from home to car, car to kennel club, kennel club back to car and car back home. This wire box weighed 28 pounds and I also had to carry my dog's treat bag, water bottle, bowl and extra treats and keep the dog on a leash. I've seen people easily get their soft-walled boxes in and out, so I decided to check them out. I chose this one and am not disappointed. Weighing just 10.8 pounds, with three entrances, extra storage pockets, and the included liner, it beats that heavy wire box. The ONLY improvement I would make would be to make a longer flap on the flat pocket at the end of the drawer. If you put the thinnest of items in this bag (e.g. a collapsible water arch) the bag will bulge and the velcro on the flap cannot reach its small velcro to keep the bag closed. Be that as it may, it can only be closed when there are documents in this pocket. Otherwise, this box is great for my purposes.
