For perfectly cooked food - try it!

The grill thermometer seems to be damn accurate. Tested on steaks (medium), roasts (medium) and pork tenderloin (ideal 165F). Using a handy "meat temperature chart" found on the web, I compared the internal temperature of these three meats to the expected temperature based on the chart to see if they correlate and how accurate they are. The results were great! Of course, like any good thermometer, you test it with boiling water, where the gauges read 212F, just like water boils. The product does everything it says it will do, I can remotely control the grill from anywhere in my house although I didn't. Check the maximum range as it is subjective and depends on the environment and the construction of the house. I have to say my only complaint is that the probes are too long for my liking, making them impractical for small grills and fancy designs, and the receivers look too closely at items like voltmeters, stud finders and other carpentry/automotive/ electrical testers. Also, it was easy to use, accurate, and fun, and I really liked that it set off an alarm when the food reached the set temperature, greatly reducing the accidental overcooking that happens when you're not paying attention or are distracted.

  • understandable even for the old
