Review on πŸ”Œ MakerFocus Raspberry Pi Expansion Board: 4-Channel Relay Module for Raspberry Pi 4B/3B+/3B/2B - No Programming or Programmable Options by David Dugas

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works as intended in the Computers & Accessories category

Very easy to use, true Plug-N-Play. Use it with Falcon Player Pi to activate a relay during show playback with a simple direct command to run the script (no card programming required). Each relay is independently controlled and each circuit controlled by the relay is isolated from the others. A GPIO header extension was used to allow the HAT to be mounted on a case with a fan and supply air to the fan. when working with high voltage or high current (within the device specification). I use it for a dry contact on a door/window sensor so very little current flows. When the relay is off (normal condition) it should short the NC/COM terminals, but short the NO/COM terminals instead. When the relay is on (not in the normal state), it should short the NO/COM terminals and short the NC/COM terminals instead. Each relay is wired in the same way. The COM terminals are fully isolated from each other, allowing each relay to switch a different circuit without risk of damage. I still gave it five stars despite the spin-off confusion, I just want other buyers to be aware of that possibility.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Long wait
