This is one of the most versatile AC/DC adapters we've found. To make matters worse, the polarity-reversing adapter cable is included with the kit. The closest we got was a well-known brand that had an additional polarity-reversing cable, but that combo costs about 33% more. So far it seems to deliver the promised performance. Only time will tell if this adapter can handle the full load. The setup function is quite easy if you can follow some required instructions. The problem could be someone accidentally holding down the install button long enough and starting the process over. The connectors that connect the adapter plug to the cable or the polarity cable to the main cable are very tight. It takes some work to get them to mate. The good news is that accidentally turning them off later won't be easy. However, we made pieces of 1/2 inch ID heat shrink tubing and pressed them down the cable to the polarity terminals so no one could disconnect them and plug in the connector with the wrong polarity. Our application is a negative mid tuning and reversal will destroy the equipment. All in all a decent product if it lasts.
