I've been using Dobie pads for years - I don't understand why not all of them! The inner pad is covered with a plastic mesh, which makes cleaning much easier than a regular sponge (especially with stubborn dirt), and the inner pad itself is made of foam, which seems to dry faster than a sponge and doesn't retain mold or mildew smell/ smells. They're also surprisingly soft, unlike steel wool; They will not damage non-stick coatings or other fragile items. A pad will typically last several months (your mileage may vary as I use the dishwasher for anything that doesn't require hand washing). Just be careful when cleaning sharp objects as the jagged edges can snag and tear the plastic mesh. Oh, and don't forget the brand name - I've tried generic fakes before and they've never been this strong or effective.
